After a €20 million euro fitout, the 127-room Grafton Hotel is the first to open in the new Mandrake Collection.
Having spent big on their hotel’s lavish interior design, the owners wanted hotel signage to match. Taking cues from their Art Deco theme, we created an array of luxury pieces. For skyline and canopy signs we coated stainless steel letters with polished gold titanium to reproduce the Gatsby-era logo.
Inside, we installed a suite of wayfinding plaques, made from cast bronze with embossed letters in 1920s fonts. ‘Bartley’s Bar & Restaurant’ and the ‘Scaredy Cat’ needed to have their own distinct identity and ambience – we achieved this using a mix of intricate window vinyls in gold leaf and full colour.
