Google, 1 Grand Canal Quay
Workplace
Google’s new offices in 1GCQ expand its Dublin Docklands campus across the Grand Canal and closer to the city. The six-storey, 58,000 square foot building is in a perfect location, right between the DART train line and a major bus route. The tech giant wanted to make an impression on the thousands of commuters who pass through the area every day.
To identify the building and make it a landmark we fit a prominent logo on the two main elevations. At night, when Grand Canal Dock is buzzing with people, the Google brand is visible from several hundred metres, lit from the side by energy-saving LEDs.
As you make your way into the building you are greeted by two logos from our ADX range. This is our most sophisticated illuminated letter, made from solid acrylic glass for a pristine edge-to-edge lighting effect. Set into routed wall panels, arrow shapes in LED Neon point you up the entrance stairs to the welcome desk. Once the receptionist shows you in, you simply follow the eco-friendly directory signage (with floor indicators in natural oak) to find your way.
