Face lit signs will never be the same! We have come up with a new way of making LED face lit letters and have called it ADX. ADX signage is available in indoor, outdoor or IP65 options. The easily accessible placing of the 12-volt LED modules makes them easy to maintain and ensures excellent heat dissipation. Brightness can be varied according to requirements – in shopping centres for instance up to 3,000 cd / m². Sensitive areas with mandatory low levels of brightness can also be catered for by combining warm white LED modules with exactly coordinated acrylic glass. New fastening techniques have also been specially developed for ADX. Not only that, ADX relief letters are 100 % recyclable. Particularly flat and filigree letters present new challenges for fastening techniques, as they are not compatible with conventional solid fastening solutions. The alternative is to use a 5-mm-thick aluminium base plate cut to the shape of the letters with a laser, creating filigree transitions from one letter to the next. The ceiling and wall fastenings are also cut out of the base plate. The wiring is done invisibly using ribbon cables.

ADX DOESN’T DO EVERYTHING DIFFERENTLY. BUT LOTS OF THINGS BETTER.

Walking through the pedestrian zone you see them right away: illuminated relief letters have long since become standard advertising elements in the communication repertoire of today’s companies and we can hardly imagine life without them. But here in particular, not all profiles are the same. This brochure presents a new generation of profiles that is going to set new standards in the sustainable use of high quality relief letters: the new ADX profile, which doesn’t do everything differently, but greatly improves essential criteria. Till now, optimal light distribution was achieved for extremely fl at relief letters by encapsulating the carefully placed LED modules in a clear compound. The disadvantage was poor heat dissipation and, even worse, a lack of access. It is simply not possible to maintain and replace LED modules solidly fixed in a compound. New solutions had to be found: it is neither economically nor ecologically acceptable to treat these high quality products as disposable items to be thrown out after only a few years’ use. Together with customers and partners, the engineers at A.D.Design developed a profile system that made it possible to do without the compound. After a development phase of more than two years and numerous endurance tests, the system has now become mature right down to the last detail: the new ADX profile.

At A.D.Design we can make your sign out of a large range of stainless steel finishes.

A stainless steel sign by A.D.Design is like no other! As standard your stainless steel sign is made from 316 marine grade stainless steel & comes with premium blended edges to hide the join between the face & the return (side). We use stainless steel fixings as standard so that there can be no streaking down the wall externally.

Our 316 stainless steel signs come with a 10 year warranty. (Greasy fingers, dirt, surface damage, sea air and iron dust - for example signs close to motorways and railways or trams, can affect the oxide layer of the stainless steel and corrosion can occur. Good and regular maintenance of the stainless steel, depending on environmental factors is therefore essential. This should be carried out at least 4 times a year.)

Halo Lit Letters

What is a LED Halo lit letter? LED halo illumination is when the LED’s are placed on the inside of the face of a built up letter and illuminate back onto the wall the built up letters are mounted to give a glow around the outside of the letter only.

What colour LED’s illumination can I have? There is a basic range of LED colours like white, red, blue, green and amber but you can achieve almost any colours by using acrylic back trays covered in a translucent film.

Titanium Letters

POLISHED GOLD Titanium letter Specifications: Stainless Steel alloy 304 substrate with a 30 micron layer of titanium nitride applied to the surface through a process called vapor deposition. This process actually bonds the two materials together providing a dense and durable finish that we guarantee it for 10 years. A highly reflective finish similar to a mirror. Its gold color makes it an excellent alternative to natural brass. It does not require a clear-coat and is excellent for use outdoors. We guarantee the finish for 10 years.
